The Top 20 Selling Singles Of Summer 2012 Revealed!
It’s been no secret that 2012 has been a terrible year for chart music but this list, just released by The Official Charts Company, is enough to confirm any little doubts that you may have had.
It’s the twenty top selling songs in the UK of this summer, including every physical and digital single sale between July 1st and September 29th, and although there are only 3 or 4 absolutely terrible songs on the list (“Pound The Alarm”, “Bom Bom”, “Whistle” and “Wings” immediately spring to mind), there are only 2 that I’d say absolutely deserve to be there (“Feel The Love” and “We Are Young”) and the rest are distinctly average and/or uninteresting. I can’t really see things turning around too drastically in the last quarter of 2012 so let’s hope that there’s a bit more creativity and realness in 2013!
