Rita Ora – Hello, Hi, Goodbye
I haven’t given it a proper listen but from flicking through the tracks on Rita Ora debut album “Ora”, it all seemed a bit lacklustre considering what’s gone into it apart from one track, that just gets better and better everytime I hear it!
It goes by the name of “Hello, Hi, Goodbye” and ever since Rita started revealing the details of her album, it has been the cut that I was most looking forward to hearing as it is written by The-Dream, who I’ve always been a big fan of and never disappoints (when he’s writing for others anyway!). Although Rita didn’t write it herself, its has a very vulnerable, personal edge and you can hear that she really feels what she’s singing, bringing out the side of her that made the public fall in love in the first place and will take her to the next level if she explores it more.
Speaking on the song with AmaruDonTV earlier this year, Rita explained:
It explains your life structure within three minutes. It goes from meeting someone to saying bye to someone. People that know me know that I’ve never been that smart in love. I’m not that smart with it because I don’t know what to do with it and it freaks me out sometimes so its basically my mind when I’m in love with someone.
Have a listen below and Rita’s debut album “ORA”, which hit the UK number one spot on release in August, is in stores now.
Also, here’s Rita performing the track to a sold out audience at London’s Scala on 30th August and she smashes it!
