Ne-Yo’s “R.E.D.” Album Tracklist Revealed
With Ne-Yo’s presence and creativity right now only seeming to be a shadow of its former self, the release of “R.E.D.”, his fifth studio album since stepping onto the scene with “In My Own Words” back in 2006, really will be a make or break point in his career, but I’ve got a good feeling he’s going to pull it off. However, if it flops, I can’t really see any way back for him from here.
The features are minimal, the first being Wiz Khalifa, who appeared on the latest single “Make Em Like You”, which you can hear below and isn’t great, but I’ve got a feeling it was made more for the radio and we’ll have to hear the full album to hear the real creativeness and substance.
The second feature is country heavyweight Tim McGraw, which I’ve got a feeling is going to sound amazing, especially seeing as the last time he collaborated with a high profile “urban” artist, this is what happened…
That’s all for the standard edition, but the deluxe edition (which contains four additional tracks) also has a track called “Should Be You” which features Fabolous and Diddy and if we’re lucky, it’ll be one of the smoothest rap/R&B collaborations that has been made in years. Every time Ne-Yo and Fabolous have linked up in the past, they’ve come out with something special so let’s hope this time is no exception.
The final point I’ll make is that “Miss Right” has made the cut, which is a song that leaked onto the internet a couple of years back, seemingly not attached to any project, but it was one of the best songs that Ne-Yo has made in years so it’s good to see that it finally has a home.
The tracklist is as follows:
1. Cracks In Mr. Perfect
2. Lazy Love
3. Let Me Love You (Until You Learn To Love Yourself)
4. Miss Right
6. Don’t Make Em Like You feat. Wiz Khalifa
7. Be The One
8. Stress Reliever
9. She Is feat. Time McGraw
10. Carry On (Letter To Him)
11. Forever Now
12. Shut Me Down
14. Should Be You feat. Fabolous & Diddy
15. My Other Gun
16. Alone With You (Maddie’s Song)
17. Let’s Go feat. Calvin Harris
