Leona Lewis – Come Alive
It’s quite strange to think that last 18 months has seen the whole meteoric rise and subsequently, the equally rapid demise in dubstep within pop music, which of course came along with the revival of drum ‘n’ bass, of which the last person I’d expect to master the whole mainstream crossover sound would be Leona Lewis.
However, the likes of DJ Fresh, Magnetic Man and even Katy B have proved time after time that if done with thought, female vocals over a less gritty, more uptempo and euphoric dubstep beat can work wonders and believe it or not, this is one of the best examples of that that I have heard to date.
