Lana Del Rey – Backfire
With Lana Del Rey’s first major label album “Born To Die” (which is still one of my favourite releases of 2012) set for a repackaged re-release in November under the name of “Born To Die: Paradise Edition”, a brand new track from the self proclaimed “gangster Nancy Sinatra” has hit the internet, and it goes by the name of “Backfire”.
It’s unknown yet as to whether this will be a part of the project, but my guess is that it is just an old unreleased track, probably from the sessions of the original album release, as it has some very recognisable elements from various songs on “Born To Die” but not quite that cutting edge and emotion that the rest of the album gave off.
As with everything Lana does though, it is a cut above your average and ”Born To Die: Paradise Edition” drops on November 2nd, supposedly with 8 new tracks, so be on the lookout for that. In the meantime though, have a listen to “Backfire” below and if you still haven’t heard it, get your hands on a copy of “Born To Die” now!
