Kendrick Lamar – Swimming Pools (Drank) | Official Music Video

Kendrick Lamar’s rapid rise to the top shows no sign of letting up, dropping the first video from his major label debut good kid, m.A.A.d city for the second single Swimming Pools (Drank), an introspective look into society, his father and his own dependence on alcohol.

With the amount of hype surrounding Kendrick right now compared to a a year ago, or even just a few months ago, and still another two months until the album’s release, I’d be very surprised if it’s not one of the biggest hip-hop breakthroughs of the past five years or so!

Not much has been confirmed for the album to date but if Wikipedia is to be believed, it will feature a Dr Dre produced Eminem collaboration by the name of Her Will, which if true, is something to get very excited about!

For now though, check out the Swimming Pools (Drank) video below, which is a very bold choice for an introductory mainstream single but hopefully a perfect choice and let me know your thoughts!

Pools that may be used by many people or by the general public are called public, while pools used exclusively by a few people or in a home are called private. Many health clubs, fitness centers and private clubs have public pools used mostly for exercise. Many hotels have pools available for their guests. Hot tubs and spas are pools with hot water, used for relaxation or therapy, and are common in homes, hotels, clubs and massage parlors. Swimming pools are also used for diving and other water sports, as well as for the training of lifeguards and astronauts.*

The wood tubs are not a new concept; they were used for centuries all over the world. It was during the Second World War that the Americans noticed the wood soaking tubs in Japan. They converted the wooden wine vats into wooden hot tubs. So the Americans experienced the social bathing with wooden hot tubs. Today though acrylic spas are more prevalent, wooden tubs are also being purchased mostly on personal preference. However, there are many reasons for choosing a wooden tub over a plastic spa.”‘..,
